PROPAGROUP SILICA GEL: PREVENTION IN ANY CONDITION
Made from amorphous silica, PROPASIL appears as a hard, semitransparent granular substance. Its moisture-absorbing capacity is very high changing with environmental conditions.
PROPASIL was developed to protect the product from damages caused by moisture. Thanks to its absorption capacity, PROPASIL reduces the dew point inside the packing during shipment, thus preserving its qualities and properties.
PROPASIL micro range is an extremely practical and highly absorbent products. It is the ideal solution for humidity problems in small spaces. Being highly compact it occupies minimal space within the package, while effectively absorbing the residual internal relative humidity.
PROPASIL micro can be supplied in sizes from 0,5 to 3 g.
PROPASIL is available in bags, chains, canisters and capsules in different weights, shapes and sizes. They can also be supplied in small sizes, ideal for absorbing excess moisture in small spaces such as inside containers and bottles of medicines or food supplements.
For applications in special sectors, such as pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs, where there are problems with possible contamination, special materials can be used that meet the requirements of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and Regulations (EC) Nos. 1935/2004 and 10/2011.
In particular, PROPASIL desiccant bags with Tyvek® coating produced by the company DuPont have been registered with the FDA under a Drug Master File (DMF) type III for applications in the pharmaceutical sector.
